Now, let's address the elephant in the room—Uncle Buck's enthusiasm is off the charts! He's what you might call "OMG" levels of energetic, and he's not afraid to show it. His excitement sometimes manifests in mouthiness and jumping. In fact, he once managed to snag a handful of bangs during a particularly exuberant greeting. But hey, at least he's consistent—whether it's grabbing hair or jumping up for attention, Uncle Buck is always ready to make an entrance. Uncle Buck is a bit of a resource guarder when it comes to his bones, but he's not unreasonable about it. A little growl here, a strategic relocation there—it's all part of his process. However, it's worth noting that this behavior might not be suitable for households with young children who might not understand his boundaries. Despite his quirks, Uncle Buck is a charmer through and through. He's incredibly intelligent and loves nothing more than being around people. With a little patience and some consistent training, he's sure to pick up manners in no time. Plus, his impeccable bite inhibition means that while his antics may leave a mark (or a few bruises), they're more likely to result in scratches than anything else. In essence, Uncle Buck is a spirited terrier with a heart as big as his personality. He may demand attention with barks and snaps, but beneath it all, he's just a pup looking for love and companionship. So, if you're ready for a lively companion who will keep you on your toes (literally), then Uncle Buck might just be the perfect match for you.##2014773##Adoption processWe want to be sure that the adoption process is as smooth and positive an experience as possible. Our animals are in foster homes and we do everything we can to learn as much about their likes and dislikes, temperament and activity level as we can while in our care. By doing so, it enables us to work more closely with a potential adopter to help ensure a "good fit." The adoption process might take a bit longer than adopting from a shelter, but our ultimate goal is finding a match that benefits not just the animal, but also the family interested in adopting. We are looking to let our adopters chose the speed of the adoption process. To start the process, we require that an adoption application be completed. Once submitted, we will connect with you to discuss the type of animal you're looking for, your lifestyle and home environment, and what the best fit may be. At times, we may request to conduct a home visit, which can often be done in tandem with what we refer to a "meet and greet" where you have the opportunity to meet and interact with the animal(s) you're interested in adopting. Ad part of our process we conduct background check on all applicants, will check personal and vet references also. Our goal is always the proper placement for any adopted animal, which may mean that the animal you originally are interested in may turn out to not be the best fit, but we will work with you to find a better match. Adoption fees include spaying/neutering of all animals, age appropriate vaccinations ad microchipping and range anywhere from $80-$175 for cats and $200-$450 for dogs. Prior to finalizing adoptions we require a signed Contract & Agreement which includes an understanding that if for any reason the animal does not work out that you will return them back to The Rescue Crew.Shelter locationAs all of our animals are in private foster homes, we do not have a facility where adoptable animals can be met. However, we do host adoption events occasional throughout the Twin Cities metro area, and those will be posted both on our website and Facebook pages.
