The job of the Literacy Coordinator is to coordinate the district's literacy efforts and focus on enhancing the teachers' ability to provide high-quality effective literacy/reading instruction. This job will plan and provide guidance to develop strategies, skills, tools, and techniques to effectively teach reading and writing to all students and to provide focused support in research-based instructional practices to increase student learning and achievement. The qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's degree or higher Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license Demonstrated planning and organizational skills Demonstrated ability in decision-making, verbal, and written communication skills Management abilities Experience working in a school setting A detailed job description attached.
