We’re currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for St. John’s Herr Estate, the Luthercare community in Columbia, PA. We are hiring for a day shift PT+ position. WHAT YOU DO: As a Housekeeper at St. John's Herr Estate, you’re an integral part of ensuring our building and workspaces are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. You’ll do this by performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: Dust and polish furniture; stock supplies; clean wash basins, tubs, and commodes; empty wastepaper baskets in resident, team member, and client areas, and collect and dispose of garbage in designated areas. Perform dry and wet mopping of floors; operate vacuums, carpet extractors, and pressure washers; and clean windows, screens, ceiling lights, walls, and window treatments. Clean and prepare residential living spaces in preparation for new residents. Assist with laundry operations, which includes operating washers, dryers, irons, and collecting and delivering laundry from and to designated areas. ABOUT ST. JOHN’S HERR ESTATE: At St. John’s Herr Estate, located at 200 Luther Lane in Columbia, older adults enjoy a healthy, active retirement while living in our maintenance-free independent living cottages and apartments, with resort-style amenities and a full range of services. St. John’s Herr Estate also features on-site Personal Care for residents who need a little help and support to remain living as independently as possible. The community is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization based in Lititz, Pa. St. John’s Herr Estate residents have access to Luthercare’s network of services through its full continuum of care within three communities in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds frequently Ability to push/pull up to fifteen (15) pounds of force frequently Ability to perform the functions required to push large carts, handcarts, appliance dollies and vacuum cleaners/carpet extractors.
